I think you need to realize something DSA isn’t opposed to the concept of a USAID type organization, one that gives out aid in Disaster Zones ect. It’s just USAID along with other organizations have been used for U.S. imperialism especially in places like Haiti where aid will be conditioned if 1/2

The country adopts neoliberal friendly U.S. Policies, the USAID and Red Cross even didn’t help much with the Earthquake in Haiti in 08 the Cuban Doctors did more for them. 2/2

During Operation Cyclone, USAID sent food while the CIA armed warlords. The “aid” helped crush an Afghan govt with women’s rights & universal education. Empire disguised as help isn’t help—it’s domination. Food shouldn’t come at the cost of freedom.
