the thing about our current moment is that yes, the anti-AI and anti-big tech people are getting very reactive nowadays - but have you seen what they’re *reacting* to?

like maybe the public would be getting less frothy and toothy about this if big tech hadn’t spent the last three years constantly threatening the public with impoverishment and feudal control, idk

I do feel bad for all the legitimately good tech people out there catching strays over this, but let’s make sure we’re keeping our eyes on the “genuine threat of technofascism” ball

The danger of the left going Luddite to “own SV” is not “techbro feelings get hurt“ It’s “we hand the keys to the kingdom directly to the enemy”

My PRIMARY concern is also defeating fascism I think the left descending into an inchoate anti-science rage mob will probably not help good principles defeat fascism!
