Why does prayer require proximity to an abortion clinic? If prayer actually works, shouldn’t it be just as effective from your home? Surely an omnipresent God doesn’t need you standing outside a clinic to hear you.

I wasn’t aware of this new law so I looked it up. How does this interfere with people praying? Pray all you want. All day every day. Just leave others alone.

Because if your *real* goal is to harass women, instead of doing anything useful or helpful, you can’t do what Jesus told you to do—NOT pray in public, because people who do are piously self-satisfied. No, you have to *perform* your sanctimonious, audience-seeking prayers where your victims are.

That claim takes Jesus’ words out of context. Jesus did not forbid all public prayer. In Matthew 6:5–6, he condemned people who prayed publicly “to be seen by others”—in other words, using prayer as a performance to gain attention or appear especially righteous.

Why do they all look like they have an extra chromosome in a random place? I'm guessing the real story is because it's not just praying near a clinic... "I took the money from the safe, and when I knelt down to thank god for this abundance, I was arrested. Clearly it's illegal to pray in a bank."
