As a kid, I went to regular Baptist churches (not strict southern ones) and children's groups and once they told my friend he couldn't hold hands with his GF and I never went back. I gradually said, "This is stupid" and stopped listening to all the lies.

Linda definitely wasn't raised in a dysfunctional Catholic family. Lucky for that. Sad about Parkinson's. Damn!

Third grade, let’s see, apart from parent issues, that’s either “Why can’t I see God?”, “Where did Mrs. Cain come from?” or “Why is God such a meanie in the Old Testament and then nice all of a sudden?” Good thing we’re all adults now. We can all brag about it to everyone.

I was an atheist at five. Mom and Dad made me go to church so they could have Sunday sex. The church told me to color a book with Noah's Ark. I remember thinking bullshit. Never went back.

Linda is one of those people like Dolly Parton, born with talent, brains and a loving family. So she had that confidence to go out and conquer the world she chose for a lifetime. Unstoppable.
