Oh man what a great game!

Your goalkeeper absoutely earned his spot on the World Cup team too! It was an incredible game!

They are GREAT.

I think everybody for the most part was a fan of Cape Verde last night!

I’ve never watched this team or goalie before and my family located in 2 different states and countries were texting nonstop about this goalie during the match. Unbelievable talent. Much respect. #Vozinha #caboverde

Saw it .. Exiting. They lost in overtime after 2-2 tie in regular time. There is no shame. Cape Verde brought their game.

Cape Verde was amazing out there!!

👍

The whole team deserves credit.

I’m appreciative of so many Americans falling for football ⚽️.

That Messi goal was amazing, but the dude was offside....

WHAT A GREAT PLAYER AND MAN. HUZZAH! SAUDACAO!

He was spectacular!

He did and I thank him for making the game and the sport phenomenal to watch and be part of. Bravo

HOWARD STOPPED A GOAL WITH HIS BEARD BUT THIS GUY STOPPED A SHOT WITH HIS CROTCH OKAY

Amazing performance from such a small country. May every team have as big a heart as these guys. Chapeau

❤️

Everyone has new respect for Cape Verde! It’s hard to go up against a Unicorn!!

Why sports are great. This particular sport especially. Really nothing quite like it.

The announcers noted that some critics scoffed at "diluting" the World Cup by increasing the number of teams, such that Cabo Verde qualified. And that was one of the most exciting games of the whole tournament. (Even as I was still recovering from the shootout between Egypt and Australia.)

Love this. I really hope Vozinha and Messi become friends in the second sequel.

I feel awe and inspired. Admiration and respect. Absolute legends.

An inspiring performance

Hell of a game!

It was impressive. What a great game!

That goalie was AMAZING!

Cape Verde Are the One! There is always one world cup winner that won on Hearts. FIFA 2026 most Corrupt tournament in Soccer History! Pure Profit!

Definitely going home a hero 🙌🏼

This is true heroism

Sometimes the final score does not reflect who won.

💯

Vozinha is a brick wall. Amazing! (I’m an Arg fan btw!)

A shoo-in for the Golden Glove Award. That save alone from the inventive Messi free-kick was mind-boggling! From his heroics in their opening game to tonight he’s out there on his own. He epitomises why football truly is The Beautiful Game!

The actual Man of the Match.

THIS IS FOOTBALL! NO HELMETS REQUIRED!

One of the best games so far.

He was amazing!

They were the real winners

I totally agree, was repeating over and over how great this goaly is! 100% with you on this, I was yelling for Cape Verde, magnificent goal keeping it was a master class!!

👏👏👏👏💙✨💙 Awesome team!

So far, my conclusion is that the actual winners at the World Cup are: Cape Verde (The heroic underdogs.) Iran (Everything stacked against them by a hostile power.) Scotland (The Tartan Army rather than the team, but hey-ho.) Who cares who actually lifts the trophy?

Obrigado, Vozinha. Você jogou bem.

Bravo! The world is proud of you!

What a keeper! This dude is an icon!

I know Vozinha is 40, which isn’t ideal, but there have got to be some scouts for some professional teams that want this guy on their roster now right?

🗽

Thank you.

They are fantastic. What a great story. They scared the ever-loving crap out Argentina. Cape Verde would have won a shootout!

Goalkeeper of the tournament.

Bravo Vozinha, & entire Cape Verde team. What an amazing performance & battle you confronted Argentina & Messi. 💪🏽💪🏽🫶🏽👍🏽👍🏽

whole game was so exciting I needed a time out after its end!! did you see the Argentine fans hugging the CV fans?

❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

They were better than Argentine + Refs Team- for sure!

He was amazing. I know he’s older, but I wish one of the big clubs would give him a contract. Even for one short season. He deserves all the glory for that exceptional play!

they played a heck of a game, hats off to them!!

What classy guy!

just great

MVP in American parlance…!!

So fucking cool

....the dude is 40....probably the best game by a keeper I've ever seen--can't say enough!....
