Interestingly, most of my gaming was centered around the Pallaidum “megaverse” system, starting with my first ttrpg experience. Yes, I was a huge Robotech fanboy already. My first 5 RPGs played: 1. Robotech 2. AD&D (1st ed) 3. Rifts 4. MechWarrior 5. Star Wars (WEG 2nd ed)

The Questionable Authority@questauthority.bsky.social

Also, I know a bunch of people who have/had loads and loads of RIFTS and/or GURPS source books (and have been one of them). Not sure I've met anyone who has played either system.

The sad thing is that unless more Californians get their heads out of their asses, this won’t pass. We can be pretty fucking stupid sometimes.

An exemplar of the form.

The first genuinely honest ad for generative AI I've ever seen, from Microsoft / CoPilot A mediocre white guy sees his non-white colleague getting praised for good work, he asks AI to *literally copy it*, and then he gets all the praise instead: www.ispot.tv/ad/SoDi/micr...

Ya’ll, we’ve got to get Angie out there more. Please like, comment, and repost any Angie Nixon-related content. She needs to be as ubiquitous as El-Sayed, Ossoff, and Mamdani.

I read this. You should, too. It will confirm all your misgivings about people with money and power, and it will refute none of them. Tax billionaires into extinction.

When Grammy-winning musician Rhiannon Giddens begins playing “Old Corn Liquor,” a traditional Black American folk tune, acclaimed Chinese pipa virtuoso Wu Man recognizes similarities to Chinese pentatonic music and spontaneously joins in. The joy on their faces says it all.

This thread says it and proves it: Bidenomics was working. I have one thing to add: it was also working because of Congress. The ARPA, the CHIPS Act, the IRA, etc. Two of the three branches just making an absolute difference.

1. The new Consumer Price Index was released. You will never guess what it showed – the biggest increase in five months. Prices were 3.7 percent higher than this time last year. Why? You know. www.nytimes.com/live/2026/10...

Read this @ktoussaint.bsky.social piece about attribution science, which fossil fuel companies and their shills are trying to undermine because it’s the tool we have for holding fossil fuel companies accountable for climate damage.

fastcompany.comWhat is attribution science? The critical climate research that Big Oil would rather you didn't believe inHow an emerging field of research is fueling a major Supreme Court case that may hold fossil fuel companies liable for climate change.

An unpaid ad for the Democrats.

Mike Johnson threatens us with a good time: "If this group took over, they would turn every committee of Congress into an investigative body. They'd spend every day investigating the president, the first family, the cabinet, donors to the party, leaders of business ... "

Honestly, @bsky.app, how is it so hard for y’all to get video playback right? I’ve never seen a site fuck it up so bad for so long.

🚨 Our DC Chief Scott MacFarlane was INSIDE the courtroom as federal Judge Ana Reyes erupted at Trump's DOJ lawyers. “I've never seen anything like that before.” Scott describes the judge screaming at the top of her lungs after the gov cut down hundreds of trees despite assurances to the court

Like a dumbass, I wrote a thread when I should have written a blog. Anyway, here it is in blog form. If you think others would benefit from a deeper dive on this topic, please repost. bsky.app/profile/donm...

New from me: Michael Lewis provides a timely reminder that even the heroic federal employees who tried to block DOGE grifters could only do so much. If DOGE could not be stopped at the time, accountability must be on the agenda for the future. 🧵 donmoynihan.substack.com/p/blockers-a...

The reason why you see a bunch of accounts all suddenly start posting the same phrase at about the same time is because there's a bunch of GRU interns at setups like this and they get a slack notification and start copy/pasting the marching orders given to them

This incredible woman needs to be elected.

They’re saying that I want to abolish prisons, but that’s crazy. After all, we need somewhere to lock up crooks like Ashley Moody. What kind of person steals $10 millions dollars from sick kids? #AngieForFlorida

Not only should we introduce penalties and fines for the companies that break important things by designing crappy software, we should introduce regulations and penalties for the media outlets that act as accomplices by shifting responsibility away from the companies that cause these failures

No comment necessary.

22 California billionaires have spent a combined $150 million so far to defeat Prop 40. By spending their fortunes trying to stop California from taxing billionaires, they're making the argument for a billionaire wealth tax more clearly and articulately than anyone else possibly could.

Exceptional reporting and a searing indictment of the jackbooted thugs that comprise all branches of DHS. Burn it to the fucking ground.

The government *still* isn’t tracking how often immigration agents detain U.S. citizens. We are. 500+ Americans have been handcuffed, held at gunpoint or held against their will in Trump’s second term. Our tally is almost certainly an undercount. THREAD (content warning: violence) ⬇️

Stephen Miller, a.k.a. Trump, is targeting a vulnerable population of undocumented children. Many abruptly find themselves denied access to legal immigration pathways in the US, with their applications fast-tracked, then rejected before being forced out of the US. www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026...

This is yet another example of how broken our justice system is. The endless appeals and maneuverings by savvy legal teams delays justice until it denies justice. We saw the same thing with Trump. He should have been tried and convicted within six months for both Jan 6 and and documents case.

🚨NEW: Todd Blanche has filed an appeal of Judge Emmet Sullivan’s order requiring him to turn over unredacted handwritten FBI notes and take other steps in Katie Phang’s Epstein files lawsuit by September 24. Phang says Blanche is continuing his “Herculean efforts” to avoid turning over the files.
