Donald will ignore the ruling, of course. People are interpreting the 'staircases to nowhere' in the Ballroom plans as proof of Donald's incompetence. But of course the fact is that the staircases WILL go somewhere in the new tower Donald will build after the White House is demolished. #Obvious

We couldn’t rebuild our dilapidated garage on the same footprint without neighbor’s approval & a variance… & this MFer demos the East Wing of The People’s House on a self aggrandizing whim! Thank you Judge & The NTHP!

The judge should warn any construction company doing any work, will be held liable for breaking his order, because Trump will certainly break it and there’s consequences for him.

47 thought if he tore it down they wouldn’t stop him and then just leave it like that….let him live in the rubble he created. It’s so symbolic of his destruction of the foundation of our country.

It's amusing that he now has to wait for Congressional approval, and Congress being on recess, which hasn't bothered Trump when there were vital issues at hand--war, voting, a partial shutdown--will now make him absolutely furious. I can picture him demanding, "why aren't they at work??!?"

And spread al that lovely, fluffy ASBESTOS into all the other offices and neighborhood near the East Wing...yup! Nothing like a little ASBESTOS in your cornflakes to get you going in the morning in Washington 🤢🤮

Ha - good for you. Hadn't thought about that. Can easily see him trying that - it's a typical Trump move. It fits perfectly with how he thinks & actions he's taken throughout his life. He truly acts as if the WH belongs to him - like the Supreme Court, DOJ...

A USA Today analysis found that Donald Trump and his businesses in Atlantic City were involved in 60 lawsuits and countless disputes regarding unpaid work, including 253 subcontractors not paid in full or on time on a single project. Hundreds of contractors, including painters, plumbers,...

I want to see a judicial order requiring him to restore the East Wing to its configuration prior to destruction, updated with new systems, and paid for by the trump organization. Beginning immediately.

It was just weird to hear him complain about the National Trust for Historic Preservation. What a weak complaint. It's sad that they dropped the ball and did not move faster on this.

Kinda late: but the twice impeached convicted felon never asks for permission OR forgiveness. Justoce would be making him personally oay to restore the damaged building to it’s original floor plan.

If they made him pay to restore it now, he would just steal the money from us somehow. I am for waiting until his presidency ends, publicly remove his name from every monument and government building and then bill him to restore it all to how it was.

That man has absolutely destroyed the Whitehouse. He needs to restore it or getting his Republican Party to fix it. Right now it’s looks like a Walmart store

It’s an underground military complex/Presidential bunker with a ballroom atop! Stop repeating Trump’s spin &start investigating the bigger story of what’s literally just under the surface. For example: -How much of the $400M is for the bunker underneath? -What are the “Donors” getting in return?

I wondered how far this would go before something happened. Yeah, this has been halted until it goes through the proper channels with the House, National Trust, Courts and anything else in motion. Just have to wait and see what happens now
