Good Morning! New pinned post for all my new followers! I'm a Military Historian very interested in space, politics, humor, war, and art. I've been obsessed with the design of fictional spacecraft since I can remember and I post daily about a lesser-known ship and artist, usually from Star Trek.

RIP Walter Koenig What a role to take in the late 60's, he got to personally represent Earth's collective desire for a quiet end to the Cold War.

R.I.P. Actor and screenwriter Walter Koenig.

RIP Pavel Chekhov, aka Walter Koenig, gone from us today at age 90. I just hear him asking where are the nuclear wessels in “Voyage Home”. His “interrogation” onboard the nuclear submarine still makes me laugh out loud.

There is no human on earth more easily or predictably baited than this man.

It’s happening again. Because why wouldn’t it? Nobody was held accountable last time.

I just think Matt's wrong about this. We're at a point in our technological development where a ton of problems spill over national borders--if Flavio Bolsonaro burns down the Amazon, that will flood houses in Miami.

BREAKING — #StarTrek actor Walter Koenig, who portrayed Russian navigator Pavel Chekov, has died at age 90. blog.trekcore.com/2026/10/star...

#StarTrek #WalterKoenig

has donny ever held a rally/event in Mississippi before? genuine question.

"She's not really a STAR TREK fan," I told Walter Koenig (1936-2026) when my then-girlfriend and I met him at an autograph show in 2009. "Good for her," he said dryly, as he collected my fee for his signature. "She has better things to do." Farewell to a real one. #RIPWalterKoenig #StarTrek #TVSky

Farewell, Walter Koenig. I'll always remember the answer you gave 10 year old me when I asked, "How did you feel about not being in the cartoon?" "Pretty horrible that I wouldn't be getting a pay check." You were the best navigator and telepath heavy in the galaxy.

He lived long. He prospered. Goodnight Commander Chekov. RIP Walter Koenig (1936 - 2026) 🖖🎬 #filmsky #startrek

The heavens speed thee in thine enterprise!

Rest in Peace Walter Koenig. Thank you for navigating us through the final frontier, for your years of activism, writing, and memorable characters like the joyous Chekov and the sinister Bester. We're forever grateful that you lent your talents to our game. We'll see you again, in the stars.

Walter Koenig, was, of course, Chekov. But if you want to honor his memory by watching some of his best(sorry) work, please check out his appearance as the evil Psi-Cop "Bester" in Babylon 5. He's a fantastic presence and a great foil to all of "our heroes." Fair skies, Mr. Koenig.

Oh no 😭 One of the last members of the USS Enterprise has left. RIP Walter Marvin Koenig (1936-2026) Star Trek, Babylon 5, Moontrap, The Starlost, The Questor Tapes, Futurama... What a career in sci-fi. I will miss Pavel Chekov. Again 😞

Aw, damn. What a truly kind man… RIP, Walter. ❤️🖖🏼

RIP to an incredible actor, Alfred Bester is one of my all time favorite Lawful Evil villains

My heart is heavy. Walter Koenig, our Ensign Pavel Chekov, passed away early today. Walter and I met on the bridge of the Enterprise in the 1960s, and we stayed friends for nearly six decades. When Brad and I married in 2008, Walter stood beside us as our best man.

RIP Walter Koenig What a role to take in the late 60's, he got to personally represent Earth's collective desire for a quiet end to the Cold War.

My pal Danielle Koenig shared that her father Walter Koenig passed away last night at age 90. A performer whose kindness and warmth shone through the screen. He will be well remembered.

Oh this is sad news. When we lose anyone its tragedy, and of course Walter was one of the originals. I had of course heard rumours that he hadn't been well for a while. Our deepest sympathies to Walter's family and friends at this time Walter Koenig - 1936 - 2026 #RIP #NuclearWessels
