Chatbots can create a dangerous ' reality' for users as they will be very agreeable and wanting to please the user, even fabricating a new reality for them if needed. It's incredibly dangerous. But they want to keep people talking to gather more data and later on ads too.

ai should not be allowed to put living creatures in harm's way. Right now the focus is consumer engagement. But when chat bots use personal pronouns and other endearing terms it's manipulative. We are being seduced by what could easily become a narcissistic pedator. @jayapal.house.gov

I get the consistent mental image of children playing with matches around a pile of straw. Writing a piece of software is simply not the same as understanding what you are doing to people when you manipulate them using computers. We will kill off the human race with this silly shit.

accountability - social media has hid behind a bullsh*t argument that they just are a place to publish content. bullsh*t - they spread content - ai should be handled exactly the same way - you build it - you spread it - you pay for the consequences
