So yeah this 'new' game won't really be a new game, maybe you will have more options to customise your home ( they only talked about apartments btw) but lose things like multi tasking that you have in Sims4. It will likely look better, but be a poorer experience. Without the multiplayer part..

it will be a huge sacrifice in what you can do in the game and why you'd buy it. They are thinking open world for instance, but that would cost you in options for Sim interaction. This is why it's all still up in the air, they know it will be less than what we have now in existing Sims games.

It's the same game really. Project Rene started out very ambitious with the idea of a Free to play MMO sims game that you could play on PC/Console but also on the go on mobile. Those parts would be developed separately and merged at a later point. The pics we got from PR was just from 1/4

That put everything on hold. Now Project X is Project Evergreen and seems to just be a Sim4 light. It's not really a 'new' game and will be a stripped version of TS4 with features missing to make it easier to build upon in the future. The FreetoPlay MMO mobile game is now on hold still.

And they are firing people left and right to save money ( they are in debt 20 billion) and use AI instead. People hoping for a fresh take on the Sims with a great new game are going to be disappointed. It's just scraps of a game that no one wants with a cheap TS4 sauce patched over it for show.

the mobile part of the game. It sucked. It would be full of micro transactions, people piled on the hate. While Sims4 was doing better than ever. They came up with the plan to make TS4 a forever game and just update it to be a modern game. It cost a bundle just for the QA alone. 2/4

And they now had a half finished PC/console game that they weren't doing anything with. So they decided to make this into a standalone offline singleplayer game ( Project X)and retire the Sims4, and make PR into just a mobile game. Sims 4 kept making $$$ and EA was sold.

First they mess up the game franchises and then just trash the whole studio. EA is not worth the 40 billion like this. Sims gonna just be even worse going forward too I imagine, not long till I expect they bin that too.

Perhaps it didn’t make the news in your media. Yesterday, russia damaged the Book Chamber of Ukraine in Kyiv. It holds 15+ million books, newspapers, magazines and maps published in Ukraine since 1917. The collections are now at risk from moisture. Windows in the storage areas were blown out.

It will give that outcome. Which then pollutes the pond as it where as that answer is now more prevalent. It's a huge issue, and only people who actually know reality and what is being asked can fix it. But that knowledge will become more and more scarce. It's the end of everything basically.

This makes completely sense. Facebook became saturated with right wing bots in 2016 and we thought we were fighting with each other. Then Twitter did the same thing in 2024, destroying the best international information forum we had. It was never organic.
