I left Twitter because I was permanently banned for writing about fascism. . . . . .Because Twitter is now a fascist platform controlled by the richest fascist in the world. Some of us aren’t allowed there. So, the pro-X discourse seems like desperate (fascist) propaganda.

It's official! I'm *permanently* banned from X for tweeting "TLDR: Fascism." (appeal denied) What an honor—and a sign that the Silicon Valley billionaires feel threatened by my book. (One of my final viral posts featured this cover.) Pre-order here! www.simonandschuster.com/books/The-Ne...

Hey @gilduran.com . Just started Nerd Reich, but too curious ....have you any opinions on the Collison bros of Stripe? Am Irish. Them and their Progress Ireland think tank freak me out. As you may know Ireland are the soft boys of the EU, in thrall to tech bros for tax dollars and jobs. In exchage

They are positively mentioned in the Network State book and investors in the California Forever network state project

There is only one social media platform where the user base constantly begs people to join them, and attempts to justify being there in the first place. “No thanks” isn’t good enough for these people

Twitter locked my account for telling an anti-vaxxer that we’ll have to force them to get vaxxed to protect ourselves, and they won’t let me delete it. Because it’s locked. It’s the dumbest thing in the world. I can’t use the account, and I can’t delete it. But Elon gets to claim me as a “user”.

I keep my account over there for sports stuff and breaking news (I do also like to check in and see what Earth 2 is saying once in a while...) Things are going as expected.

If it was something like 'Lake Ontario' or 'Gulf of Mexico', I'd agree. But X is now entirely owned by Musk, it's not coming back to being twitter. I'd argue saying 'such and such evil thing' is on X makes sure it is fully associated with him, and not the dearly departed twitter

It’s more than possible that ownership will change back to less recognizable management, that everyone who didn’t bother changing the bird to the smugly cynical letter for ‘fill in whatever’ will themselves get to feel smugly cynical for waiting out the drama.
