He says only evidence of abuse is ex’s claims, but his 2yo really did have a broken collarbone. That’s evidence! He said it was caused by a seatbelt, which, even if true, means he 1) put her in a car w no car seat OR 2) installed the car seat wrong, AND 3) didn’t notice the injury. That’s abuse!

Rep. Max Miller: "These are incredibly serious criminal accusations. If these accusations were true, I would be in jail — I would be. My former wife would not have been offering to cook me dinner and inviting me to playgrounds. Think about that."

even once we're oout of carseats, the seatbelt is *supposed to* go across your collarbone because collarbones are a *strong* point. an accident that resulted in a broken collarbone was not a fender bender -- there would be a police report, a lot of insurance paperwork, a new car purchase...

A woman who is being abused and afraid for her child will make dinner and appease her abuser. She will do everything she can to keep him happy until she finds an escape route.

I wish more of us were aware how many serial liars we interact with regularly. This is classic deflection, make up a story on the spot that tickles the part of your brain that doesn't want to believe people are evil but wouldn't stand up to a moment of scrutiny.

I believe women. The fact that there have been no consequences for him is not a sign of his innocence but a sign the justice system is doing what it always does—protect white men. I hope she and her child remain safe.

Neglect is abuse! Now do I buy that story? No, I do not. But how interesting that he doesn’t even know his BS story is abuse. As for ex’s mental health, let me just say: People with mental health problems are more often the victims of abuse than the perpetrators of it. For this exact reason.

Abusers pick victims who others won’t believe ON PURPOSE. Also, that Dropbox full of supposed on exculpatory evidence? It uhhhhh disappeared after a few minutes. And he’s blaming it on a conspiracy at Dropbox.
