Glad folks are appalled by photos of the "phone booth" cage under an awning, but pls understand: This IG report is likely part of a cover-up. Amnesty Int'l interviewed detainees EIGHT MONTHS AGO who said the cage was half this size (couldn't stand up), had no awning, w feet chained to the bottom.

@attackerman.bsky.social reported on the Amnesty report at the time, and astutely compared it to the torture boxes at Gitmo, where Ron DeSantis, as a young military lawyer, oversaw the torture. So once again, mainstream media is months behind independent media. www.forever-wars.com/torture-tech...

These look like the torture boxes used throughout the slave states and colonies, but especially in the Caribbean, to punish enslaved people. They'd put you in the hole and deprive you of light, human interaction, basic needs, even the ability to stand or stretch out completely, until you went mad

One of the incredible ironies of this era is that the journalists with the least resources to fight malicious prosecution by the gov't are the ones telling the most truth about the camps. And the ones with the most resources and teams of lawyers on staff...are not.

Wanted to check back in about how I might get in touch - a friend working in this space is interested in your work but very understandably your DMs appear to be off (mine are not if you want to reach out?)

Isn't this the Catch-22 of access journalism? Reporters want access to get information. But then to preserve access they must not report information that makes the source look bad. The public is deceived to maintain the source. And step after step, the access journalist becomes a publicist.
