Hey y'all remember when the creator immediately killed the idea of a character in this show possibly being a trans woman? Just stumbling over herself to shut that down the moment it showed up instead of letting people have their speculation? Yeah.

She did backtrack and course correct but her initial reaction was a mask off transmisogyny moment considering she was much more open minded about a trans masc take previously.

It's not even like she was actively shooting anyone down, the person she responded to was literally asking if Frankie was trans or not, what did you want her to say? Her other show had a major nonbinary character and this one literally has a trans V.A., why do you insist on painting her as a bigot?

This is a show about the horrors of consumer capitalism and marketing towards children particularly in regards to the waste produced by toys. The first episode features a city drowning in the garbage of mass-produced products for a character. So when are you starting to sell predatory blind boxes?

Will there be endless plastic crap where you have to buy multiples, and get extras you don't want, just to get all of them? Like there are for all the other series you've monetized into the ground with plastic garbage? Kinda antithetical to this show. Collectibles are fine. But this is predatory.

Maybe, but if she doesn't exaggerate things by a few orders of magnitude the show will be boring. It's both amplifying some real problems to make them entertaining, and also externalizing her internal conflict
