🛣️ YOU ARE NOW LEAVING TEXAS 🛣️ Just one year after relocating the annual Visa Payments Forum to Dallas, the flagship conference is COMING BACK TO SAN FRANCISCO. Companies are doubling down on California — and that means more jobs, tourism, and success for all Californians.

Awesome to hear. I'm from Oakland and now live in TX. Which is a wretched state. Anytime I hear a california company is moving here I always say wait till they feel the lack of civil rights and freedoms. Plus insurance cost and lack of medical care.

CA may have high taxes but it treats people like human beings. I think WA, OR and CA should consider a fed funding slowdown. Delay transfers to the feds for money the feds owe the States. Research money that was allocated-deducted it from what is sent to Washington.

When I lay my head, to sleep tonight, I’ll dream of Newsom, and his Trump rooted plight. His plan to stop TACO from having his day? I’m hopeful. Is it working? It sure seems that way. A Newsom trip to Oslo cuts Trump down to size. When Newsom walks away with TACO’s Nobel prize. A'ho🪶

The more I think about it though, there are a lot of reasons to have an Olympics here There have been Olympics in worse places, and LA is hardly the least equipped. Digs at Newsom's eagerness to brag about every little thing aside, I welcome the spectacle. Can't let Trump force us to give up on US

As an Australian, I will not be coming to visit the US until that orange turd and VD Vance are nothing but a note of embarrassment in the history books. I wouldn't get into the land of the free anyway with comments like these.

Red states are dying! They are happy to be poor and not work, have the lowest incomes and the least amount of education they can get away with! Several trends and studies suggest that higher education

enrollment and attainment tend to be lower in red states with more conservative demographics and politics. The MAGats do not think that education os important. It shows look at the morons in the White House!

Here lies the nation we once knew—shattered, enslaved, and torn. A child-raping, criminal conman rules unchallenged, devouring our freedom, killing our future, and claiming all we once held sacred. May history remember this ruin, and may nothing like it rise again.

Sad that my home state is getting such bad press. Not saying it isn’t deserved, but it’s a shame all the wonderful things about Texas are being overshadowed by the confused and angry beings running our government down here. Please send well wishes to those of us trying to fight the powers that be.

You're aware the majority of Texas by population is not like that right? Austin, Houston, Dallas, and San Antonio are all huge industry centers for various things. Austin had a great tech scene until Abbott ruined the entire state's reputation. I'm not saying more companies shouldn't leave.

i do was born and raised in Ft. Worth, Dallas(SOC),Houston(5th Ward) and Austin most of my young life til college moved to California and only go back to Texas for family reunions. So yeah i know which parts are fucked up but it's the legislation that has Texas living in the stone ages!

I would not step foot in Texas if I didn't have to. All of the massive trucks, gun billboards, and abandoned dogs running alongside the highway aren't my vibe. I find it pretty depressing. Plus, stepping out of the airport feels like being sucked into Hell.

assbutt?!? is that like the costco version - 1 package, but double the size/stench? if so, that fits “I grew up in OK & TX; my Mom still lives in ATX. Hot wheels makes me crazy angry w/ what he’s doing to that once great state My Mom calls him A**butt”

Californians need to pass a law banning home sales to conglomerates and institutional investors because they eat up all the inventory then turn them into expensive rentals. This all reduces inventory for homebuyers and drives prices higher

The blue fades quickly around the periphery. The people in the Dallas suburbs seem friendly at first, then you realize it's all a phony "Christian" type of backhanded "friendly" loaded with judgement. It's a breeding ground for authoritarians.

I anticipate more will be returning which is good because I understand there are quite a few empty buildings in San Francisco which are available. Plus it will keep the local restaurants & other businesses from closing their doors.

I have to say I love Texas. I hate its politics. Or I should say the Republican rule. There are more Democrats in Texas than Republicans but they've been fine tuning their voter suppression for over 30 years. I think they've overplayed their hand this time though. Even Republicans are pissed.

I agree with you. What I meant was the GOP screwed themselves over with the super gerrymandering. The new maps carved out 5 more congressional districts with republican majorities but to do it, they weakened their majorities in 10. Democrats could actually keep the 5 seats and flip up to 10.

What kind of a shit company would send their employees to Texas for a conference right now? I mean, I guess if you were planning on firing them and didn’t mind them getting kidnapped and disappeared, it might be a great location for you.
