Been free of them for years at this point, especially when their 'AI' was flagging some of my own artist tracks because they got put in their OWN curated Spotify playlist and said I was botting when it was working as intended and removed me. Absolutely ridiculous, plus all the other reasons haha

i wish id cancelled earlier but i kept putting it off bc i had so much going on at the time... but. this just feels gross that i had to go through several pages to confirm that i wanted to cancel, and then they did this w a message going "You can always come back, you know."

Manipulative shit. I know it's hard to untangle from these services, that's by design, but thank you for standing up against the worst of the worst.

i would LOVE to stop using spotify - if i had a replacement music streaming service with equal functionality, at similar price. anyone got a recommendation? not Tidal tho. tried that for a while, liked it, but it kept stopping or freezing mid song at a too frequent interval to be worth it.

I went to apple music. Better sound quality, better algorithm, better payments to artists, occasional issues with their library organization though. All streaming services are kind of evil but Spotify is the absolute worst so we can at least get off them.

Never used Spotify as I was always been an own my music kind of person with an mp3 player, but I do use Pandora and YouTube to find new and old music. Tell me if I shouldn't be using either of those though!

Nothing that I know of worth splitting hairs about. Artists probably aren't getting paid but that's pretty much everywhere.
