I love the idea of the atmosphere, but looking at all the apps on @sifa.id, I still dont "get it". At least, I dont get those apps, anyway. All I feel are solutions-looking-for-problems vibes. Would love to feel differently, though.

Have to say, I am not sure. I've seen people say it is LinkedIn for the atmosphere - and I'm not really seeing that. Maybe it is a future thing that you are planning, not yet implemented?

At the moment, it just seems to be an aggregator for atproto content. Not intending to minimise it with "just". An aggregator is useful, up to a point.

Ugh, all these atmosphere apps are great and all, but they feel developer-designed. There is no story being presented. Why should I care about you? (Not sifa specifically, just any of those apps.)

Tangled is cool (although not functionally mature enough for me, last time I looked) and I can see a use-case for that. But things like leaflet really do not inspire me as a user, at all. And I dont feel any attempt *to* inspire me in that direction, either. Maybe I am just too Gen X?

And if you want the perfect example of developer-driven good-concept-bad-implementation, look at standard.site. It's like the very early days of Linux, where you had to hack scripts and config files. But this is really a judgement on the whole ecosystem, not sifa.

I think it's also good to realize that most of these apps are < 1 year old Most of the platforms that we are used to and/or these are competing with are over 10, sometimes over 20 years old, so there are bound to be some rough edges still

Like LinkedIn is 24 years old. I don't have the illusion that @sifa.id will be as refined after just 4 months. Having said that: yes if we want to attract "the average Joe" as a user, we do need to be very appealing to that audience

The /activity page is indeed aggregating atproto activity (or other like RSS, GitHub, ORCID) that you created (so not just simple likes). The /p/{username} pages are your classic profile/CV pages that LinkedIn also offers (although we aim to add a layer of more "proven/attested" data as well)
