The time is now. Right now. Time for literally all of us to push back against fascism. You don't have to and literally can't do EVERYTHING. Don't worry about that! Just pick the one or two issues/things you know and care about and join the people who are doing practical things to help.

And if you have a platform of any size, it's time to speak out about the things you care about. Because it's all gonna get fucked up if we don't all step up. Again, you don't have to do it ALL THE TIME. Don't have to talk about stuff you don't understand...

But pick the handful of things you know about and care about and speak up and share info. And not just share fucking memes. Use your platform to share practical action items. Because there's TONS folks are doing and a million ways any one of us can start to help out.

If you don't even know where to start, check out the #DidThisToday hashtag where folks post some of the practical things they're doing to make the world a little better and push back against fascism. Lots of great, easy things to do there.

Looking for a demonstration? Always something going on. If you're in NYC and care about Gaza, Israelis for Peace hold a vigil every single Sunday at 5 pm in Union Square. bsky.app/profile/greg...

I went to the Israelis for Peace demonstration at Union Square in NYC this afternoon. Deeply solemn and moving. They're there every Sunday at 5 pm. Today they sat in silence with empty pots and photographs of children from Gaza.

If you're in NYC and you're horrified by ICE, @bkindivisible.bsky.social and a Lutheran Church hold a vigil every Tuesday at the Brooklyn Metropolitan Detention Center. bsky.app/profile/greg...

I know a bunch of people are tuning out. This much bad news is overwhelming. I get it! But I will tell you from experience that nothing has made me feel better (aside from therapy, medication, & the love of family & friends, natch) than volunteering with groups in my community to fight back.
