The time is now. Right now. Time for literally all of us to push back against fascism. You don't have to and literally can't do EVERYTHING. Don't worry about that! Just pick the one or two issues/things you know and care about and join the people who are doing practical things to help.

And if you have a platform of any size, it's time to speak out about the things you care about. Because it's all gonna get fucked up if we don't all step up. Again, you don't have to do it ALL THE TIME. Don't have to talk about stuff you don't understand...

But pick the handful of things you know about and care about and speak up and share info. And not just share fucking memes. Use your platform to share practical action items. Because there's TONS folks are doing and a million ways any one of us can start to help out.

If you don't even know where to start, check out the #DidThisToday hashtag where folks post some of the practical things they're doing to make the world a little better and push back against fascism. Lots of great, easy things to do there.

Follow @indivisible.org and @workingfamilies.org and see what their local affiliates are doing in your area. Probably really cool stuff! Do an internet search for "mutual aid" or "free store" or "community fridge" with your town's name and you'll find some folks who are doing cool stuff!

Lot of the people on this starter pack share good action items and other info pretty often. Check 'em out! go.bsky.app/6DoVMhY

Looking for a demonstration? Always something going on. If you're in NYC and care about Gaza, Israelis for Peace hold a vigil every single Sunday at 5 pm in Union Square. bsky.app/profile/greg...

If you're in NYC and you're horrified by ICE, @bkindivisible.bsky.social and a Lutheran Church hold a vigil every Tuesday at the Brooklyn Metropolitan Detention Center. bsky.app/profile/greg...

You can find a slew of other actions at mobilize.us. You can search by your area.

Getting out the vote for Mamdani, going to and photographing rallies and demos and vigils, volunteering for Vote Forward, volunteering for @bkindivisible.bsky.social and @nywfp.bsky.social... this gives me hope. Because I'm meeting neighbors and comrades who'll have each others' backs.

FWIW, some folks and orgs near me I treasure for constantly sharing incredibly practical action items: @bkindivisible.bsky.social @nywfp.bsky.social @prisonculture.bsky.social @mags.colvett.online @threnody.bsky.social @edidin.bsky.social @jfrejnyc.bsky.social @socialists.nyc
