If I were in NY-03, I'd crawl over glass to vote for @votewelch.bsky.social over Suozzi. Suozzi seems to be on every list of Ds voting for some horrible R initiative. Welch seems great! I gave her campaign money. I hope you get out and vote for her if you're in NY-03. bsky.app/profile/vote...

My opponent,Tom Suozzi (D?-NY) held Palantir stock when he voted for additional DHS funding (benefitting Palantir) right after Renee Good's murder. Voting is already in progress for the primary, and I am on the ballot. Please make a donation today to help fund GOTV efforts: votewelch.com

In NY-13, I'd vote for @darializaforny.bsky.social over Espaillat. I mean, come on. This is an obvious one. bsky.app/profile/dari...

Darializa for Congress@darializaforny.bsky.social

The lives of the people in NY-13 have not improved in the last 9 years, or in the last 30 years my opponent has held political office. But in that time he has voted for over $7b in ICE spending, taken over $115,000 from ICE contractors, and more than $250,000 from corporate real estate developers.

In NY-15, I'd absolutely vote for Michael Blake over Torres. I met Michael Blake and ranked him during the mayoral primary. He seemed great and I'm thrilled he's primarying Ritchie Torres, who's the AIPAC candidate in this race, to understate the situation. bsky.app/profile/greg...

Michael Blake. Former NY Assembly member. He very memorably tore into Cuomo at the second debate and ranked pretty high for me when I did @thecity.nyc's candidate quiz. I ranked him #4.

Over the past couple of years, I've met - and photographed! - a bunch of folks in NYC who consistently show up at events, protests, and rallies to fight for things I care about - and some of them are running for office! So here are some more folks I'd vote for in important downballot races:

For NY State Assembly District 66, I'd vote for @siffertforny.bsky.social. Among other things, I've seen them standing up for "A.i." regulation with the @aimoratoriumnyc.bsky.social. That's a huge litmus test for me. Also would be the Assembly's first non-binary rep, ever! bsky.app/profile/greg...

Greg Pak@gregpak.net

I've seen Siffert at an anti-ICE rally and an @aimoratoriumnyc.bsky.social anti-"A.i." rally. Strikes me as a sharp, serious, competent person who knows what's what. I'd vote for them if I lived in the district!

We all know very well that representation in and of itself is not liberation. But I suspect it could be a very big deal to have a non-binary person in the NY Assembly during these terrible times. bsky.app/profile/greg...

Hey, NYC! @siffertforny.bsky.social has an idea of who you should vote for in the Democratic primary for NY State Rep, District 66! Taken at their rally this morning at Christopher Park. Siffert would be the first non-binary NY state rep ever! Also VERY strongly for "A.i." regulation. πŸ’ͺ

In NY-12, I would probably vote for Bores, as I told him in person a month ago. He's opposed by a buncha "A.i." billionaires, and I'd love to make those billionaires cry. But I'm a little ambivalent because he's supported by "effective altruism" folks whom I do not trust. bsky.app/profile/greg...

@alexbores.nyc talking with a voter before the march. He's running for Congress in NY-12 - I told him if I lived in the district, I'd vote for him because of his "A.i." regulation efforts.

But I don't think Schwalbe is showing up in the polling - might not have any path to victory. So if I were in NY-12, I thiiink I'd be likely to vote for Bores in hopes of beating Lasher -- and then be prepared to YELL at Bores ALL THE TIME to make sure he doesn't serve the industry on "A.i." issues.

I voted for @lydiagreenbk.bsky.social for Assembly in district 52. Simon, the incumbent, has been generally fine. But I think Green would be more proactive in fighting for things that matter to me. And @abbystein.bsky.social & @bdlimm.myatproto.social are for Green! bsky.app/profile/bdli...
