Honestly and seriously? Gillibrand should resign.

She's not up for reelection until 2031. She can do whatever she wants and knows it, absolutely shameless. (I completely agree with you & am so angry about our untouchable senators.)

She, like Schumer never replies to a damn thing I send her, but I sent her something anyway. It would be nice to have 1 Senator who actually listens.

This looks to me like Trumpian family enrichment through government influence and she should get the hell out of the Senate.

The standard for how Democrats wield power and influence has to be stratospheres higher than this.

This sort of behavior is incompatible with fighting Trumpian fascism and is, in fact, an enabler of it. Leaders of Gillibrand’s character and with her priorities need to be flushed from the Dem party.

This is in addition to her disgracing herself by baselessly associating Mamdani with jihad during the primary. She’s miserably unfit for public office.

Gillibrand ran for her House seat as a Blue Dog. And the only reason she won that race was because the incumbent Republican got caught beating the shit out of his wife about a week before the election, back when the vast majority of voting was in-person on election day.

The shit that “never ever having to worry about job security even though you’re one of the 100 most powerful people in the country” does to a person…

Similarly, Kirsten Gillibrand has really never had a primary challenge since she was appointed in 2009. Instead, she supported David Paterson as much as possible, and he cleared the field for her in 2010. Since then, no one has challenged her. 4/
