I am much more likely to buy an app from the App Store than install anything for my Windows mini, other than from a major vendor or widely used open source app. I love when web sites want to install apps on my Windows box, never happens on Apple.

To those who fell in love with Steve Jobs' Apple—a company that stood for bold ideas and doing what's right—this harsh rebuke feels like watching a hero lose their way. 💔 #apple

Regarding your latest post on this, Epic does at least get awarded some attorneys fees and past costs. That’ll be a slight sting for Apple. I suspect Epic is telling Apple they won’t seek those fees and costs if Apple lets Fortnite back on the App Store and complies with the Judge’s ruling.

while I think the internet commenteratti are grossly overstating the legal impact of this ruling, I do wonder if this is finally enough to get Apple to realize eking out legal victories while losing hearts and minds is no longer a viable strategy. Apple’s response will be telling.

I hope this forces a deep rethink of strategy. I worry it won’t. Someone at Apple surely has to realize that they can win by being a better version of Android under their own terms, rather than losing by being a half-baked version under duress.

Now we know what happened to the Apple Intelligence features in Siri. “Hey Siri, why can so few people see the beauty and elegance of a 30% commission and a captive market?” “Follow the court order, Tim.” “Hey Siri, you’re cancelled.”

It’s wild how Apple was handed an almost-complete victory against Tim “Suing to hook credit card readers to slot machines for children” Sweeney and Epic, and all they had to do was one simple, reasonable thing, and they blew it so completely.
