I bought a Jetson Nano at GTC 2018 and I was very underwhelmed, it couldn't even transcode a 4k video stream...

you can get comparable performance from the high end framework desktop for just over 2k, so absolutely no reason to pay 4k for that thing

were you testing training or inference tasks? when I specced out a framework it looked like it was inference oriented but all the reddit posts I'm seeing for the DGX Spark says it's bad at inference.

I haven't gotten to play with them, but I was told the Framework at $2K outperformed the Spark and the Spark only performs well at q4. Mid :|

What was so underwhelming about it? I mean yeah it's not. *Amazing.* But 128 gigs of RAM, 5070 level inference performance, and 200 gigabit networking seems pretty swanky all things considered. I mean I'd never buy it with my own money, but it looks like a great thing to have your boss buy for you!

Yeah I badly want non-Apple ARM desktops to take off, but not with a shiny $4k paperweight. I guess if you really need CUDA and 128GB VRAM, but don’t have $20k, it’s fine?
