Hey AI companies… here’s an idea Use your super awesome software to innovate. We got to the moon with less compute power than a Commodore 64. Wanna impress us? Maybe ask your model how to use Less water and Electricity

Software will tell us all to quit showering so often & 'when it's yellow, let it mellow, when it's brown flush it down' & to cool cooking water to keep our plants alive. Meanwhile Corporate will fly carbon producing private planes to watch TV w friends & use guzzling yachts to show off to Buddies.

Notice how they never talk about efficiency. Musk is the least efficient person on the planet, an expert at getting the very least bang for the buck. And as long as investors indulge him, he won't get any better. They will lay waste to all our resources because they can't figure out how to use less.

They can't. Because it can't answer that question. If if they could they don't want to. Anymore than granting universal health care, or ending world hunger, or solving the climate crisis. Because those things don't make the line go up next quarter.

They have gone extremely silent on the rogue aspect of this so called “intelligent” technology which is nothing more than advanced algorithms that, like any other computer code, develops bugs which the Tech Reich are unable to fix.

all data-centers should be forced to generate their own power and recycle 100% of the water used..., Noise Abatement, doesn't just work to freeways... WeThePeople MUST come first....

Also, wake me up when AI creates a "virtual" job for me that I don't have to go to, but just sends me money. Then ya' got something I'm interested in. It doesn't have to pay me a lot, just enough to cover ACTUAL health insurance, you know, that pays for stuff.

I'd be honestly surprised if they haven't already. It doesn't mean they'll accept the answers if they cost more money and cities are allowing them to build with inefficient designs. The onus is on the cities to require energy- and water- efficient designs and placement.

This. So much written about AI, so little focus on the water and electricity use. It’s pure greed as they could be installing solar on site and off grid, and using recirculating cooling systems (at least) but that would mean they might have to wait a few extra weeks to see a return on investment.

The top 4 companies behind the AI rush, Meta Microsoft Google and Amazon, are the biggest corporate investors in clean energy *by far*. From solar and wind, to nuclear and more. The efficiency of these LLMs and their datacenters has also increased dramatically over the past few years

Investing in green energy is one thing. I’m talking about building their own infrastructure for energy and water needs on site and off the public grid. Those companies are building data centers that plug into the public grid while using power purchasing agreements to get around that.

AI and the Internet requires massive data storage capacity. Most of the inside of a datacenter is storage. That's literally tons of hard disks and other physical media to preserve content. It is replicated across the globe for high availability. No data centers means no cloud and no Internet.

70% of the people guillotined were poor people the mob got sick of after they ran out of royals. why don't you just advocate bringing back lynching while you're at it?
