It’s been available for the better part of a year, but yes a new terminal lib was talked about. Built on top of new-ish :prim_tty which is part of OTP26. It was a great talk, would recommend watching the recording when available github.com/Gazler/termite

I guess this lib still doesn't satisfy @hauleth.dev 's CLI comment, as I presume Termite doesn't really allow you to back and distribute CLI apps but just provide TUI to an Elixir app, like mix tasks and such?

The main issue is startup time, not even the TUI interface. Of course - TUI interface story wasn't perfect in Elixir/Erlang World (it is slightly better now since we can access raw mode), but still - startup time is the biggest issue there.

And by process isolation I mean not failure isolation, but security boundaries. Something like containers or jails.
