I am absolutely over the moon about this 😁 The #Goatmire badge (running #AtomVM) controlling the Goatmire balance bot (running #Nerves and #BeamBots, rendering display with #Emerge) via #Erlang distribution Thanks @lawik.bsky.social for the display PR 🫶

The next week of Crane updates is going to be pretty slow I think. I ran out of Claude tokens on Monday and have been running with Astra. Then got Opus 5.5 back yesterday and Opus is cleaning up a lot of Astra's code.

This project is the one that is going to replae LiveView Native with a more general approach that allows any client side JS framework to build actual native UI. Is it still needed in the agent of agentic coding? I don't know. But I've been wanting to get this done so I'm doing it.

I started down this road almost two years ago and was teaching myself Zig. Then leaned in AI for a few months and determined that at the time agentic coding wasn't going to cut it. Opus 5.5 is the first model where I feel getting Crane done is now possible.

I'm working on Zap's concurrency model today. The basics I'm toying with: Conceptually similar to the BEAM where each process is isolated, supervised, has its own memory manager (currently have ARC, Arena, and GC managers to choose from), and uses message passing.

The number of times I keep getting bitten by how slow marshalling data from a BEAM process to a NIF and back is really exposing how problematic the BEAM is for so many use cases that require real performance.

Good for Talarico. There's a huge issue on the far left with outright racism towards Jewish people. You can have take issue with Israel but don't let that position apply to all Jews.

Major progress on Zap over the past few days. I introduced some very difficult perf benchmarks which exposed a Zig IR lowering retain issue with the ARC memory mgmt model. These three benchmarks were recording 7GB - 13GB of memory. Now memory is on par with other major languages.

I love all of the dipshit arm-chair social media warriors coming out of the woodwork on this. Only on bluesky. God damn this platform is a complete waste. Democrats *were* the working class party. They had country-wide union support. Then they decided they wanted to get rich and favored white collar

This shows how the city Dems look down on the working class. The Democratic party was this guy's party. Why did the Dems lose him? Because they left him behind, not the other way around. If the Democrats want to *earn* voters like this back they need to stop talking down to them.

the thing dem pols need to internalize is this guy and his entire family will vote republican for the rest of their lives, regardless of the republican party literally ending their livelihood

On the night of her election loss Kat Abughazaleh vowed to "continue the fight" and that despite the loss the movement was just getting started and a bunch of other empty platitudes... then she immediately got a job at CNN. What a joke.
