Reminds me that the whole 'American companies need to destroy all fan-works of they'll lose their legal protections' thing that gets cited so often is actually fantasy. Managed to get an industry lawyer to admit that it's just an untested legal theory. A boogeyman tale lawyers tell their clients.

the thing is, every time Nintendo make headlines for being evil I just read it and go, yeah that tracks for the company who put a man in jail and condemned him to a life of indentured servitude
