a poll had me relistening to the ffxvi final boss theme and i forgot how unlistenable this soundtrack was i still can't believe it's not a bigger controversey. it sounds like ass. legitimately not up to releaseable quality

i dont mean that the songs are bad. i think they're kinda safe and boring even compared to soken's ff14 work but in this case i mean like. as a professionally recorded and mixed product. like was there not a producer in the room

i remember that being lena's overwhelming beef with it when we were both playing through it was like... the composition is (just) fine but the orchestration is all VST stuff like... dude you're Square Enix!! what are we doin here!!
