Its really a marvel how good XV is all things considered. Should be a train wreck but they really just made an excellent one

I think the single most memorable moment of FFXV to me was crying at the ending while feeling the entire game up until that point did not warrant that response.

Can't speak to XV, but it felt really good wrapping Different Future and hearing the main theme play under the ending narration of Final Fantasy I, given the new context of Stranger of Paradise, was incredibly cool

when in strangers of paradise Jack gives his earbuds to the princess and she listens to the ff theme on his phone and she's like "i like it" and he's like "i can give you my phone since you like it" and she's like "no i'll learn it on the lute"

type 0 number two. please can anyone release an actual version of zero with the solo put back in the ign video of the credits is literally the only place to listen to it lol

then i gotta go with vi. i'm not even the biggest vi guy but the uematsu victory lap that is that game's final 40 straight minutes of unique music is one of the most virtuosic things hes ever done and thats saying something

Front Mission Gun Hazard has a similar musical sendoff at the ending, though it's only about 10 minutes. But it's 10 minutes of Hamazu, Uematsu, Mitsuda and Nakano going hamburgers so I can't not mention it

I saw this post, nodded my head, then went "wait, when DOES the final fantasy theme drop in XV". Scratched my head about it, couldn't remember. Tried googling it, didn't get any immediately useful answer in text form. Then I just put on the song directly and the tears and memory flowed instantly

I've had a soft spot for the original FF1 theme drop ever since I played it on GBA. Crossing the bridge and getting that music with that screen really felt like the beginning of an adventure.

fun thing is how this is true for both stand by me and somnus which made me ascend when I first heard it in full in insomnia
