i know i am extremely busy with family and health and life stuff this year so expect very little writing from me but you know i will be pitching for the anniversary. i would like to play 1.0 (there’s a mod for pc now that restores it!) and talk about that. that’s an achievable 2026 goal

i really need to sit down and play all the way through it. what is the big deal about 1.0 versus the recent versions?

they retconnned a bunch of stuff and changed even more. i’m also curious! the mod seems pretty smart it changes most things back to 1.0 but keeps a few things from the day one patch like extra fishing spots lol

the time between FF15's release date and now is pretty close to the time between FF1's release date and FF7's

Honestly with all the side content/remakes and MMO expansions it’s not like we’re starved for Final Fantasy. Traditional feeling FF maybe, but we arguably haven’t had that since X.
