my issue was more what was being left out which was all the galka stuff that gave him depth and made him such a compelling villain

FF11 might as well have come out in 1901 to most of the FF14 player base so I'm not especially surprised that they lobotomized him

to be fair he's a facsimile created from an idea of raogrimm by a saturday morning cartoon villain who isn't even from vana'diel to begin with, I don't think it's a stretch to say that maybe it's a little intentional. the obvious artificiality of the vana'diel in the raids is Part Of The Story Point
