i will very much enjoy ff7r3's combat and queen's blood but the way this story is pulling into the final station after how cool remake/intermission were seems so disappointing. they're so terrified of upsetting fans they can't even remember cissnei is Evil. it's just clap because you recognise her

becoming best friends with the shinra seventh infantry and the shinra middle manager and we all love zack and cissnei and hell even rufus you're not so bad we can work together its like. what is this story even about anymore. sephiroth was not the villain of ff7! he was just the bill coming due

well yeah, jenova was the real villain of ff7 im not saying that the original game isn’t way better but “shinra is the real evil” was abandoned in the original game long before it was abandoned in everything that has happened after. roughly right after you leave midgar

i don't think thats quite true like all of disc 3 is still mostly about shinra, the junon escape and everything. theres some disappointing stuff with barret in the end but i think shinra being the bad guys is consistent through the game

And arguably, Shinra messing with Jenova was a big reason Jenova was able to Do All Of That. Sephiroth doesn't exist for Jenova to puppet if Shinra doesn't do SOLDIER.
