I'm so hyped to play this game because I'm a II, III, VIII, and XIII defender and halfway to being a XV defender, so my FF contrarianism has me hyped for another FF that makes people angry.

the real peak contrarianism is to be objectively correct about the best game: stranger of paradise is the best final fantasy. this isn't even a joke, it's just most people who wrote it off were too stupid to realize jack being single-minded is the joke, and it has a lot more going on

if you explained that scene to me I'd think it was the dumbest shit ever but if you go in blind it's the best thing ever because the game never sneers at anything it's doing. total anti-whedonism, which also means it's smarter than anything the cinemasins-type dorks think
