if you explained that scene to me I'd think it was the dumbest shit ever but if you go in blind it's the best thing ever because the game never sneers at anything it's doing. total anti-whedonism, which also means it's smarter than anything the cinemasins-type dorks think

as a FF contrarian and a big fan of XIII and XV specifically i think its one of the worst games they've ever made so lmao. i make no promises
