Democrats needing to message on affordability as the country endures a brutal authoritarian takeover is tragic. Take it from someone who lives in occupied Minneapolis. Our problems go deeper than prices.

It's so stupid. No matter how wrong the perception is, Americans by and large believe that the GOP is better for the economy, and Dems are better for civil rights. Why are they fighting the uphill battle when the GOP is handing them an easy win?

Harris explained the problem, and lost the election. Democrats feel "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me." I don't blame Democrats for choosing an issue that has historically been a winner.
