Related, I’ve rented places in 5 different cities all over the world and Australia is the best (just when it comes to enforcing landlord obligations - actually finding/affording a place at the moment is terrible). All regulated, govt hold deposits and tribunal resolves disputes.

Singapore is easily the worst. China was in-between, it was the Wild West but none of the landlords seemed to care at all.

Australia (specifically the ACCC) is the reason why we can get full refunds for games bought on Steam
