This isn't exclusive to Tik Tok. GenAI is inherently racist. People have been saying this for years.

I would guess that the escalated ticket was still viewed by a real person, but that person used an LLM to generate the replies, rather than actually doing their job. Because that's the corporate culture right now, higher-ups are obsessed with using AI for every minor thing.

Maybe they dont want to spread the image that defames their brand further by featuring it in a news article that is likely to come up any time their brand is googled. Especially given the most offensive one seems to be a sexualized image of a teenager, which would be irresponsible to display at all.
