For folks doubting whether they can live without these entities, my wife and I have not only done so for years (with the sole exception of being forced to by contractors outside our control), but the quality and price of items purchased has been better too. Don't believe me? I'll find it for you.

BDS works better than anything (non-violent) yet thought of. Money speaks, which, just co-incidentally, is why corporations are not people. Its wallet, I mean voice, is louder than yours and mine put together.

Because not everyone has the options to be able to boycott multiple major retailers indefinitely. But if you can’t, maybe you can still participate in blackout days enough to make a dent in someone’s graph.

Really? I haven’t shopped at Amazon in 2 years. I shop at Lowe’s instead of Home Depot and switched from Target to Meijer last year. I also shop at numerous other stores who I know to be union. I also haven’t stepped foot into a Walmart in 20 years since I became educated on their practices.

You may be interested in the #MassBlackout #WeAintBuyingIt and #MassBlackout will also help boost the ongoing boycotts, and are strategic by disrupting a particularly profitable time for these companies. The more people that can join in the higher the impact will be.

Join the national Black Friday boycotts! Make the big corporations feel our dissent where it counts: in their profits. Participate as much as you can, details in alt text. #WeAintBuyingIt 11/27-12/1 weaintbuyingit.com #BlackoutTheSystem 11/25-12/2 www.blackoutthesystem.com

It's really very simple to do, you already do it most days of the year: don't buy stuff on these days that they want you to buy stuff. If the retailer has ads on TV, don't buy from them, they've got plenty of money. Buy locally, food first, stuff never.

Watch them squirm as those $$ they don't need don't come rushing in. They won't suffer economically, that's true. But they ALWAYS suffer when $$ aren't accumulating, and that pain inflicted on them is greater. Just stay home with the family or do a local family gift scavenger hunt, ....

A special "secret santa" excursión, the point being discovering local business while enjoying the company of those you love instead of supporting those who only care about yor $$ leaving you account and fattening theirs (to later spend against you!)

Happily! Haven’t spent a dime at Target/Amazon since Jan, and HD since Sept (gladly switched to Lowe’s/Ace). Now adding sbux to list after fascist Target/Sbux for a deal for “exclusive” drinks. Are they really that naive? LFG!

Much of what you buy on Amazon is actually sold by third parties. Some are small businesses. Many authors earn most of their royalties through Amazon, average folks who need the $. It's a complicated ecosystem. You'll hurt them more than Bezos when you boycott.

I will participate, but I do go to “my” Target to support the surrounding community, which is really struggling. It is the last main place of work left in the area. Because of the boycott, many lost their jobs or have had their hours cut.
