WELL WELL WELL WHO'S THE BIGGER YOUTUBER NOW

“Bad news for publisher HarperCollins: The book-buying subset of MrBeast fans appears to be vanishingly small. Two people close to the project say The Most Dangerous Games is on track to be a historic bomb…”

I had this thought when the book was first announced. The crossover between people who like Mr. Beast and people who like James Patterson seems borderline nonexistent. Seems I was right?

Thinking his fanbase was comprised of people who know what a book is should be a friable offence lmao I only feel bad for the ghostwriter who wasted their time writing something neither of the people on the cover can probably summarize in ten words.

According to Dan Olson, it seems Jimmy has written parts of it himself to the horror of the three people who actually that the book.

I can tell you with confidence that Jimmy Beast did, in fact, write some of this book with his own hands (derogatory)

Clearly he should've included a curated vinyl record of music to listen to while reading (that small vinyl was actually the impetus for me getting a record player!)

I happened to see this at target yesterday and I at first thought it was a joke, truly. The next words out of my mouth were “who is this for exactly” and then “why would James Patterson agree to this?”

I used to be a genuine fan when he wasn't thinking out these big stunts and just doing stupid shit like filling his backyard with orbeez, can't pin point where it started to all feel so fake but seeing him pay people who needed money for essentially nothing was wholesome for a time from his crew.

Not helped by the fact that even a lot of his fans seem to be aware that this was ghost-written entirely. Neither "author" had much to do with the book, and that's already a known thing about Patterson

I'm laughing so hard at how THIS is the way I find out he had an AI write a book for him. Sorry, I know there's no evidence for that, it's just the only way I could imagine him having the attention span to actually complete something book-length.
