Sometimes you need a portmanteau to really drive home the doofyness

I unfortunately had to say goodbye to the fluffy guy in my photo recently, but while he was alive, his most common moniker besides his name and the standard "buddy" was distinctly and purposefully "goofus."

You could avoid the debate altogether with my family's favorite insult, "chucklehead" (chuck for short!)
