I legitimately couldn't tell if this was a real game and thought people in the replies were just going along with a vague bit

it's a real game and it actually owns really hard. it's basically a mildly janky proto-Red Dead Redemption fairly short and easy (i beat it on a rental several times across a couple platforms when it was new) but basically wall-to-wall fun set pieces and decent writing for the time

(caveat: depictions of indigenous people in it are... aged and stereotypical. the game is clearly *trying* and goes out of its way to make them sympathetic, but it does this while also being very movie-trope-y about them.)

don't know how the PC version holds up on modern systems or if you can even still buy it, but all the PS2-gen console versions emulate well (listed as "gameplay" and not "playable" for 360 version on xenia canary, but may be workable too)

I wouldn't have called it the soundtrack to my tweens by a long shot, but it sure did loop a few days out of the year.
