My pal Danielle Koenig shared that her father Walter Koenig passed away last night at age 90. A performer whose kindness and warmth shone through the screen. He will be well remembered.

I am at such a loss for words. I can't say I knew Eric on any sort of personal level. But somehow in the last few years he and I had become social media mutuals. It was a strange sensation to feel perceived by him at all--I was honored at just that much. What a sad thing. I'm so sorry.

This guy was so open about acknowledging how Mel Blanc's performance was a combination of his crazy projection and odd quirks and the help of varispeed, while also going above and beyond that range himself. He was one of the brightest beacons for voice acting during strike and campaign alike.
