Reminder that they also did this to Zack Polanski during the Holborn & St. Pancras by-election. Can't help but wonder that was a test run for future elections, such as the one that's just taken place in Brazil

Unsurprisingly, the media were VERY quiet about it bsky.app/profile/nata...

On the day he is a main candidate in a very important by-election, Facebook has *suspended* Zack Polanski’s account. This ON ITS OWN should be reason to vote Green in Holborn & St Pancras. This is foreign interference in British democracy. And guess what, the media (and Labour) is silent.

Facebook will be out in force for Trump the rest of this week, along with X. They don't even bother to try to deny or hide it now. The new Congress must press to have their status as non-publishers revoked, as they are 100% committed to editorial control of their audiences.

It feels like this sort of "Thumb on the scale" work is more effective in the UK because they're one of many thumbs all pushing for the same end with the legacy media. When the press is less centralized and not everyone works from the same hymn sheet, the effects can be fought more effectively.
