Same is true of Morrowind. My gf watches this one TES YouTuber a lot and whenever he does a daedric quest in Morrowind he spins the camera to show that the statue of the God isn't the thing talking, but rather the player is emitting all the audio complete with mouth flaps. Possession.

Its especially funny because if you angle yourself correctly, you can see this on the first guard you see after exiting the tram!
