Wrote about motivations for creating @shelf.cafe, (another) link aggregator site, why I'm using atproto for it, and how I'm trying to bootstrap it. Will follow with more posts on all the juicy technical details ps you can now add an upvote widget to your blog! jola.dev/posts/buildi...

jola.devBuilding an atproto link aggregatorAs a little passion project I built an atproto link aggregator service in Elixir and this post goes into some detail about why I'm doing this and how it works.

shelf.cafe is so cool! I'm wrestling with the values and ideas behind an atproto based discussion site (more forums than reddit/metafilter if that makes sense) I'm really glad other people have got link aggregators and discussions out there, it's so helpful to see how things run in reality!

There's definitely so much depth beyond the code itself

I'm so happy with the state of them. And it's part accident too, it was supposed to have a different background color but the rule was wrong and didn't apply. This was much better than what I intended to do!
