InternetNZ has been pretty vocal in its opposition to introducing age restrictions to websites… And the risk with algorithms is that often they currently promote censorship. Surely you would support regulation that would reduce the likelihood of censorship?

Three recommended rules: 1) Number every box you can 2) Worst last beats left off 3) Never stop early Personally I think leaving candidates unranked who you find abhorrent is fine. BUT - if there are any who are bad, but less bad, you want to rank them at the end of your list. #InternetNZ

Your vote is a messenger. Basically your vote will go to your first choice until they're knocked out. If your first choice is knocked out then it goes to your second choice, and so on. #InternetNZ

Where spare votes go when your favourite wins big. Basically if your choice wins with more votes than they need, a proportion of your vote will pass down to your next ranked choice. #InternetNZ

Three ways to fill in the same ballot. In our Single Transferable Vote system the more candidates you're able to rank the less likely it is that your vote could be wasted. Even if you're down to the bad options, if you have thoughts about which are "least bad" you should rank them. #InternetNZ
