Wait...other than that one specific system you have to PAY to file taxes in the US?? WTF?

The plan is to just piss EVERYONE off

Rejoice! You may now pay one more middleman for the privilege of paying your taxes.

Convenience is communism

I’m going to hand deliver my tax payment in unrolled pennies

i personally love paying 200$ to turbotax every year

Downpatching to version xx.88, build: turbo old times racism

Everyone knows small conveniences can add up to improved quality of life for the poors and they can’t have that

throw it in the "owning the libs" premium

I’m beginning to question the Trump administration’s commitment to improving Federal efficiency

Up next, Paramedics, are they REALLY doing anything?

Didn't Elon already claim credit for killing it weeks ago?

Literally the governing ethos of this administration is "Make everything worse". It's almost like he's an asset of....

I dream of one day when the Fed Govt stops assigning us homework to verify the data the IRS already have that they double check our homework against.

Been doing my own taxes for 20 years. Efile was great. I used direct file for the first time this year and it was all I could have hoped for and more. So of course it'll be going away and some guy will get a cut. I truly hate these people.

Well Rome just let the lowest bidder collect the taxes. Can't wait for the intuit thug to shake me down every time I go to the post office.

Free filing might let poor people get a little bit ahead, we can't have that.

enshittification of life

Damn, I actually used Direct File this year and it was nice. It required more input from me than I expected but still easier than H&R Block’s tool, and it didn’t try to upsell me constantly

Yeah, like Turbotax.

Taxes

Hard taxes create hard men...

from the party who swears they dont hate poor people

'kill anything biden did' is the new 'kill anything obama did'. beyond petty.
