Just experienced the most intense tear gassing of my life by federal officers outside the ICE facility in Portland where marchers gathered. There was no fast exit as they indiscriminately threw loads of gas and flash bangs. Children were in the crowd screaming. @oregoncapitalchronicle.com

We're in the beginning of a conflict. We've long had authoritarian machinery in place and largely unaccountable out of control police. But they usually recognized that there were limits. These thugs and fascists? They think they face no consequences. We have to show them they are wrong.

Know what’s odd? The admin out of DC keeps referring to these operations as taking place in war zones. Ya hear that phrase a lot. It’s like a war zone. If it’s a “war” zone why don’t Geneva Protocols apply? Wouldn’t the use of chemical agents against civilian populations constitute war crimes?

It's not just ICE it's also the Border Patrol. And if by some miracle they are both shut down, then it will be a branch of the military. Trying to disarm Trump won't solve the problem. We need state and local officials to step up or get fired for not doing their jobs.

Republican military is assaulting Democratic cities, kidnapping/torturing/murdering, abducting leaders and press, leaving abandoned/disabled vehicles littering the streets, filling concentration camps. It sure seems like we're already at civil war and the Democratic forces are bringing...whistles.

Can anyone tell me why they are allowed to change laws so they can violate our constitutional rights? Doesn't congress make laws? Yet they still vote to fund the illegal operations. Impeachment and 25th amendment should be their priority.

Imo as far as politicians are concerned laws are just pretty words just to put the public at ease because they think they can get away with whatever they want. Which tbf they are getting away with a lot for now. Karma will come for them

ICE is nonexistent. They are neither law enforcement nor (para)military. In today’s reality, it’s not immigration enforcement. They are the tRump-Noem-Holman-Miller fascist mob conducting ethnic purging and un-aliving yts who stand in their way is an unfortunate outcome to me.
