Now, were Democrats all in on supporting LGBTQ+ people & fighting for our rights? Not really. They weren't Opposed to it, they were however, being VERY careful about it.

I'm going to say this plainly & bluntly. We were never ever Fighting Democrats. It wasn't Democrats who loved Anita Bryant people! It was Republicans. It wasn't Democrats who called us sick, twisted, morally corrupt or mentally ill. It was Republicans.

A lot of people think that, because many games have narratives, then reaching the ending is how you experience the game. This is not true. The game is what happens when you are pressing buttons and engaging with the mechanics.

What is instead surprising is: Despite knowing this so many people still claim both parties are the same. Despite knowing this so many people still don't consider keeping them out of power enough of a reason to vote for the Democrat.

this is more or less why I opted to just completely stop posting. i'm increasingly of the opinion this "type" of social media is basically just evil and there isn't really a safe level of participation? twitter is worse, obviously, but bluesky is still mind poison all the same.

I feel this so much. I really, really, really don't like who I am if you look at my feed on this platform, but also it's what the platform facilitates. It's what it pushes you to be!

Reminding everyone when Harris said she would "follow the law" regards transgender rights, she was referring to this law that currently approves and allows gender-affirming care for inmates. Meaning she was pro-trans. Meanwhile, Trump? He tried to change the law. He was the real anti-trans person.
