(EXPLORATION) Like in Nian-Xi Prelude, exploration through Alguen's many dungeons is done so in a 3D First Person perspective. But the world goes beyond its dungeons. You can travel Alguen in a 2D top down perspective, rest at various towns and complete quests for the non-adventurer folk.

Exploration Difficulty is here too! At the start of the game, you may choose between two sets of difficulties. One refers to combat, and like in Nian-Xi Prelude, alters the amount of damage dealt, received, EXP gained and now the rate at which ailments are inflicted upon the player.

The other, new set of difficulty options now alter the way exploration is done. Casual and Classic both include the new minimap, with the difference being Casual allowing for the usage of Escape items such as warp stones. Veteran difficulty shows only the player's X and Y coordinates and direction.

(COMBAT) Combat has reverted to a much simpler Agility-Based format for Scions of Alguen. Turns are performed after everyone has selected an action, and the player is able to see the order at which battlers will act.

New to this system is the Follow-Up mechanic. Striking weaknesses or scoring a critical hit will allow the attacker to deal an extra attack, potentially finishing off their target. Beware that this also applies to enemy attacks! Use Follow-Up to your advantage to defeat enemies efficiently!

(CUSTOM) Skills are tied to the character's class in the Class Mastery System. To attain skills and the ability to reclass, players must first fill the characters' CM (Class Mastery) bar. This can be done through so actions in combat, and performing Follow-Up attacks will reward even more CM.

Once filled, you will gain up to 6 skills and new sets of classes to change into. These range from Novice, Advanced, Expert and Master classes. With a total of 37 classes, and hundreds of skills scattered among them, the customization in Scions of Alguen is near endless! More news will come soon!
